Monterey Bay Repertory Theatre, was founded in 1997 by Dustin Leonard. It was established with the primary goal of providing a professional, educational and positive environment for youth to learn all aspects of theater. DANCE CLASSES
Ballet Arts Center 4652 Scotts Valley Drive, Suite 203, Scotts Valley, 438-9447, Ballet Arts Center is dedicated to providing education to children in performing arts with an emphasis in ballet and acting. Ballet Arts Center offers professional classical ballet training to children of all ages, as well as many other classes such as tap and hip hop. Each level is carefully designed to build strong and proper technique. All students are evaluated to correct placement to ensure individual success. Dance Odyssey Studio is a unique studio offering a diverse selection of dance and fitness instruction. The studio is located at 4641 Soquel Drive, in the heart of Soquel Village. The summer session includes Kids Hip Hip 1 & 2 and a Kids World Dance Class.
Kids Hip Hop 1 with Kristen (Tuesdays beginning June 12th, 2007, 4:30-5:30pm) is a hip hop class for the younger generation where students will have fun AND learn the basics. (Ages 9 and up)
Kids Hip Hop 2 with Kristen (Thursdays beginning June 14th, 4:30-5:30pm) will take it up a notch! This hip hop class still focuses on fundamentals and combinations but moves at a faster pace. Experience with Hip Hop or other dance forms is recommended. (Ages 9 and up)
Kids World Dance with Vashti (Saturdays, 9:00-10:00am) is a children's dance class that will introduce dance ina funa nd accessible way. The class will focus on fold dances and music from around the world! (Ages 5-8)

With over 26 years of service to the community, the Cabrillo Strings/Suzuki Music Program provides a complete musical education for children 5 - 18 years of age. Private lessons and group ensemble instruction offered on violin, viola, cello and string bass. Schedule and fees for private lessons are arranged with the individual instructor. Friday orchestras and chamber ensembles, offering three levels of instructions, and held at Cabrillo College Campus during the Fall Spring semesters, ending with a program recital. Four Seasons Boys and Mens Choir, meets Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4-5 pm from September through April at the Pacific Garden Chapel at 1050 Cayuga Street in Santa Cruz. The Choirmaster is Irvin Smith, 423-6126. The choir gives a Christmas and an Easter concert and sings classical music.
